Welcome to Veda, an AI-powered research and study platform operated by SWAA Life. By creating an account or using Veda, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.

1. The Service

Veda allows you to upload documents, ask AI-powered questions, and use study tools like quizzes, flashcards, and summaries. Each project is a private workspace where your uploaded content is processed to provide relevant answers and insights.

2. Your Account

• You must provide a valid email address and verify it to use Veda.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Do not share your password.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• One person or entity per account. Shared or automated accounts are not permitted.

3. Your Content

• You own your content. Documents you upload and conversations you have remain yours. We do not claim ownership over any of your data.
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any document. Do not upload content that infringes on others' intellectual property.
• We do not review, monitor, or access your documents except as needed to provide the service (e.g., processing for AI responses).

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Veda to:

• Upload illegal, harmful, or malicious content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or accounts.
• Abuse, overload, or interfere with the platform's infrastructure.
• Use the service for automated scraping, spamming, or any activity that violates applicable laws.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the platform.

5. Plans and Payments

• Veda offers a free tier with limited usage and paid plans with expanded features.
• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Razorpay. Prices are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR).
• You can cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect.

6. Refunds

If you are unsatisfied with a paid plan, contact us within 7 days of your payment for a full refund. After 7 days, refunds are provided at our discretion. Free tier usage is not eligible for refunds.

7. AI-Generated Content

• AI responses are generated based on the documents you provide. They are meant to assist your research, not replace professional judgment.
• AI can make mistakes. Always verify important information from AI responses against your original sources.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of AI-generated content for any specific purpose.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep Veda available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service downtime.

9. Account Termination

• You can delete your account at any time. All your data will be permanently removed.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without prior notice.
• Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately. Any outstanding payments remain due.

10. Limitation of Liability

Veda is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SWAA Life shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of Veda after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
